Is APC better than Microtek?

Should I buy an inverter or a UPS?
If you want the house to keep running, buy an inverter. If you want your computer, server, CCTV or billing counter to survive the cut without a hard reset and to shut down cleanly, buy a UPS. Many Indian homes and shops end up with both, and there is nothing wrong with that.
