A UPS is the one piece of equipment nobody looks at until it fails, and by then the battery has usually been dead for months. An AMC replaces that with something predictable: scheduled checks, a battery replaced before it strands you, and a number to call that already knows your installation.
What an AMC typically covers
- Scheduled preventive visits rather than waiting for a failure.
- Battery health checks — the single most useful thing anyone does to a UPS, because a battery degrades quietly and only shows up during an outage.
- Load and runtime verification, so the backup time you were promised is the backup time you still have.
- Alarm and event log review, cleaning and ventilation checks.
- Priority response when something does go wrong.
Who an AMC is actually worth it for
- Server rooms and racks, where an unclean shutdown costs far more than the contract.
- Retail and billing counters, where a dead till stops trading entirely.
- Clinics, labs and any site where equipment cannot simply be switched off and restarted.
- Multi-site businesses that would rather have one contract than a dozen ad-hoc call-outs.
What it does not replace
- An AMC is maintenance, not insurance — consumables such as replacement battery cartridges are quoted separately unless the contract says otherwise.
- It does not extend the manufacturer warranty. If that is what you want, an APC extended warranty pack is the right product and we sell those too.

What does a UPS AMC include?
Typically scheduled preventive visits, battery health checks, load and runtime verification, alarm and log review, and priority response. The exact scope depends on how many units you run and how critical they are, so we quote per site rather than selling a fixed package.
How much does a UPS AMC cost in India?
It depends on the number and size of units, the site, and the response time you need — a single 600VA desktop unit and a rack of online UPS systems are not comparable. Tell us what you run and we will quote it properly rather than giving you a number that changes later.
Is an AMC the same as an extended warranty?
No, and they solve different problems. An AMC is scheduled maintenance and support. An APC extended warranty pack extends the manufacturer cover on the hardware itself. Businesses running critical loads often have both.
Do you cover UPS systems we did not buy from you?
Ask us. It depends on the model, its age and its condition, and we would rather look at it first than promise cover for equipment we have never seen.
